We received word from our agency that our dossier was submitted to the Ministry in Nepal on June 14th. So as far as we know and understand... we are "officially" in line. Currently, adoption things seem to be at a stand still in Nepal....we are praying a new Prime Minister will soon be put into place and things will be able to move forward again!! The Prime Minister apparently is the one who has to sign the final adoption decree. I look forward to the day when we have more information especially a picture of the little girl God has planned for our family...until then we wait and pray and read all we can about Nepal and ponder and plan for the special addition to our family!! Right now, we're in the process of putting together a cookbook to raise money for the adoption....if you have any recipes you'd like to share...we'd love to have them :)
On another note: Our family is thoroughly enjoying summer...a more relaxed schedule is so nice! We've enjoyed picking strawberries (in the mud) and canning sweet cherries. Shiloh had a great season with little league baseball and Elijah is looking forward to swimming lessons! In some ways, all the activities make the "waiting" a little more bearable! Hope to have some news soon!!

Jen - I agree, definitely the saving grace of "waiting" is staying busy and connected with what life has for the "now" instead of pining away the present for the future. My summer has been very rewarding. I am savoring my final summer before children, and spending lots of time preparing for them! It has been a long time since I've experienced the blessing of being a teacher, in having my summer completely to my own choosing (no summer job or classes). How refreshing!!
Blessings as you "wait" this summer!
